To say I have been through a lot recently is a slight understatement! I was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease and needed a Triple Heart Bypass. So on Dec 11th 2024 I had the operation. It all went well with no complications thankfully, and with the support of my Wife I have made a full recovery.
Meanwhile I decided to sell my 12inch RC and whilst I will miss it, at least someone else can enjoy using it and hopefully take some great images.
The weather this winter has not been great, so few clear cold nights! While I was recovering I built an all Sky Camera and will post some images from that soon.
Last night was the first time it was clear as well as the first time I felt like doing some imaging. So here is a short run on M53. Ten times 180second exposures for RG and B. Captured with N.I.N.A and processed in Pixinsight. There is also another Globular cluster NGC 5053 visible as well as a few small galaxies.
As an incentive to image more often I might try and build a new Messier Image gallery, so check back often to see if that actually happens 😉
